Meteorite Fall Lands on Woman's Bed

On the night of October 3, 2021, Ruth Hamilton was fast asleep in her home in Golden, British Columbia, when she was woken by a crash, which she describes as ‘an explosion’. A piece of meteorite weighing 2.8 pounds had come through the roof of her house and came to rest inches from where she had been sleeping. Elsewhere, other Canadians heard two loud booms and had seen a fireball streaking across the sky. Researchers from the University of Calgary have found at least one other fragment of the same meteorite fall nearby.
